Jaguar crouched atop a geometric pattern platform. Sculpted from a large thick solid shell core. Perforation to nose. Most certain a high status piece. Excellent surface weathering.

West Coastal region, Ecuador. 3300-1450 BC. Measures over 5" H., 4" W. 1" D. Choice condition. Stands 6 1/2" on mounting block.
